Looking within through meditation allows you to see what’s going on below the surface, beyond the senses. To see beyond the 3-D reality which is so full, takes courage and determination. Moving in this new direction of ‘turning inward’ to explore the unknown, to move in a way that departs from the ordinary, there must be a deep longing for stillness, for peace.
Entering into meditation is entering the inner world of you, the soul, the point of consciousness, the point of light in the center of your forehead. As you become familiar with turning inward, you begin to identify with your true identity and it becomes easier to disengage from the limitations of the body and everything connected to it. As this experience strengthens, it gives wings to the Self. Your intuition will become more powerful. Your inner resources, talents, values, and virtues become accessible in daily life. You can gain a wonderful sense of spiritual power through meditation.
Seventy-five years ago, Dadi Janki, a living treasure and the present head of the Brahma Kumari World Spiritual University on Mt. Abu, India asked herself: “What is the inner secret of the soul?”
What she has come to know first hand and teaches through her presence is that: “Everyone desires peace because the intrinsic quality of the soul IS peace… This is the first lesson~ each of us is a peaceful soul…”
Peace is the core of who we are. It can be experienced again and again through meditation bringing one into a stable awareness of peace as we navigate through the ups and downs of life. The Sanskrit words ‘Om Shanti’ mean: I am a peaceful soul.
A feeling of inner peace comes from saying, I am a peaceful soul.
Om Shanti, I am a peaceful soul is just the beginning. From peace, there will be feelings of love. From love will come feelings of happiness. Ultimately, all three will lead to a feeling of personal power.
The feelings of peace, love, and happiness are the basis of good meditation. To feel them and then to carry them into our lives is to make meditation practical.” (from:Spiritual Greatness by Dadi Janki)
The more we ‘see’ the self as a peaceful and powerful soul, the more we enjoy meditation and the more our relationships, emotional and mental well-being, health, and career benefit.
As one contemplates upon the truth of the inner self, the vibration of this truth produces vibrations that calm the mind and the environment and atmosphere around you.
You become a powerful catalyst for awakening other souls to their true nature. The inner eye will begin to open and you will begin to ‘see’ yourself and others in a new light. As we each awaken and transform, the world, too, will transform. The inner world of goodness and power that you awaken to is contagious and meant to be shared with others.
The Raja Yoga meditation course is filled with valuable knowledge and practical methods to help you to make meditation a way of life. It will make you, the soul, smile! It will make others smile! And eventually, together, we will make this earth smile once again!
