When the wise and loving elder affectionately called Dadi Janki was asked- what do you love the most. She replied: ME!!! As a student and teacher of Raja Yoga Meditation she was the embodiment of radiance and love and contentment. She embodied the satisfaction of a soul stabilized in its own eternal form.
What is the secret behind her ultimate contentment? The secret is this : we, souls, are only content when we are stable in our eternal form of light, peace, love, bliss, wisdom, truth, and joy. This is true happiness…it is true because it is eternal. Because the soul is eternal, it is only fulfilled by that which is also eternal. Temporary fixes will not do.
Contentment is the crown jewel of all the other virtues. In other words, contentment is the end result of the study and practice of concentrating on the awareness of being a soul and seeing others as souls. Complete fulfillment is experienced when the soul experiences it’s own self-respect and love and experiences love and respect from the Divine Beloved. This means that I , the soul, can be content even knowing my own present weaknesses. True contentment is when I base my contentment upon what is eternal and on the love I receive in my eternal connection with the One. Step by step we build our own self-respect based upon this stable and eternal foundation.
When a soul doesn’t accept it’s self, the soul seeks external approval from others (this is like being a beggar-always needing praise and assurance). One’s life is lived through the eyes and opinions of others. This results in a rollercoaster of fluctuation and uneasiness caused by the pressure of expectation.
Be gentle and patient with yourself so that you don’t slide back to square one. While aiming for the highest, accept where you are at and notice how far you have come!!! Don’t reject yourself when you Slip Up!!! Don’t put yourself down or overreact to yourself~~~
When I stay rooted in self-respect, I am not subject to the influence of others, or the atmosphere.
Make sure your sense of self, your identity is not based on what you DO. Remember you are an eternal being, vast, infinite, great, loving. To enhance this awareness, start the day with soul consciousness for this will set the tone on the day. Soul Consciousness means the soul becomes conscious of its own inner powers. When my awareness is based in soul consciousness, God can influence me and use me. My positive qualities and powers are also influencing me. I am not subject to the influence of others or the surrounding atmosphere.
There is success where there is determination. Be determined to remain content with yourself and make everyone else content too. Then your original sweetness will shine through and you will be known as a soul who is a Jewel of Contentment.

Thank you for visiting Enlightened Answers. These writings are my on-going churnings of deep spiritual studies and reflection upon the self - Along with this, there is constant meditation. It has also been my fortune to be situated in the Hawaiian Islands in the midst of the Pacific Ocean where I landed with my son 31 years ago. The past 25 years, I've been on the oldest, northern most, and serenest island of Kauai.
Many don't realize that Hawaii is made up of a chain of seven islands- Kauai, the Garden Isle, is situated at the top of the chain and is often called the "crown" of the Hawaiian islands. Kauai is also called the Island of the Golden Light, and the Island of Discovery for good reason! Truly this is where I was led in order to discover the wonders of the inner golden light ignited by the Supreme Light. It is here that I continually reinforce the awareness that- I am a peaceful, loving soul, a being of light*- just as you are. This journey has led me to surrender the rest of this life to the Divine Beloved, the One who loves unconditionally and who teaches the method to return to our original nature of purity, love, wisdom, & altruism. Through these writings- I am building a fortress of light with the pure intention that others may strengthen their own light.
For over fifteen years, I've had the fortune of traveling to northern India- to the state of Rajasthan- where the Brahma Kumari World Spiritual University is perched atop Mt. Abu.
This wonderful oasis of light is also called Madhuban which means Forest of Honey. It is a pilgrimage place dedicated to the Remembrance of who we truly are -- eternal souls. This awareness also brings us into the natural relationship and remembrance of the Eternal One- the Creator God- Beloved of All.
I go to Madhuban to meditate and study in a fully spiritually charged atmosphere where others are there for the same purpose. We are a spiritual family who enjoy solitude, as well as unity. We enjoy delicious spiritually charged meals, beautiful gardens, angelic music, and communing with like-hearted souls from across the globe. Madhuban is a pure, divine container that serves those who wish to live according to the highest spiritual codes. It is a place designed for souls to have a deep, rich, and loving meeting with the Supreme Soul. My annual journeys there have enriched my life immeasurably, beyond words. I've become a peaceful soul who honors the peaceful soul of you. I am a lover of Truth and hope that you are able to glean deep soul answers from these writings.
