Reliving Past Memories:
Have you ever spent a whole day or series of days, weeks, or even months thinking about sorrowful events that have taken place yesterday, last week, a month ago, or even years ago? Did you know rehashing and going over past scenes, overworks and wears out the thinking capabilities of the mind?
Focusing on the past can even make us forgetful that a positive and beautiful future can still happen, simply by focusing on the present and doing the best right now.
A common tendency that many fall into from time to time, is the reopening of events that have already gone by in the reel of life and mixing them in with the present scenes. This can result in a negative future since our perceptions of the present become colored by negative memories.
Remaining focused on the present is sometimes seen as overly-positive thinking and being disconnected from the past. While the past is very much the truth of what has happened in your life, a balance has to be made between being forward looking and at the same time taking care that the past problems do not re-occur. Finding this balance is possible when we guard ourselves from worrying about the past.
Remember the past is past.
BLESSING: May you free yourself from weakness and worry and have the power to mould. To have the ability to mould is to become real gold.
I become as flexible and beautiful as pure gold, ready to create beauty under the influence of the heat of a challenging situation.
I harbor no hard feelings for having to adjust or mould to difficulties; instead I enjoy the beauty I create and the joy I spread from responding with fluidity and kindness.
