“Free Yourself from Mental Slavery”is my favorite “Bob Marlyism.
The Highest on High Spiritual Father blesses us with: “Become a Bestower of Liberation and be free from the limitation of your own mind, free from the bondage of negative thoughts.”
The only barrier to your happiness
is the quality of your own thoughts
and the habit of seeing other’s faults and weaknesses.
Be free-Experience the Lightness and Brightness of You, the Soul. This body is oh, so temporary.
To become attached to anything temporary will bring a temporary happiness, with a wake of sorrow, close behind. Retreat into the timeless nature of you, the soul and our original Home far beyond this earth, which will soon be swept completely clean for our New Beginnings.
Your soul has become tired from playing these mortal games and for all the costume changes, lifetime after lifetime. Retreat to your original Purity, your original Happiness, your original Peace.
Remain so full of your original melody of happiness that no tones of sorrow will drown it out!
You are a Being of Light
No longer, out of ego, continually think of the faults of others. Each soul has their own part to play in this eternal drama and is playing it perfectly!
Do not be bound by jealousy, carelessness, or laziness-for this finishes your power of realization. Become free of those subtle bondages and become a liberator of souls who are drowning in despair and weakness.
At this time, the world is governed by a cruel kingdom based on human desires and vices. Everyone has become colored by those vices. They are easy to spot for they are called: anger, greed, lust, ego, and attachment.
The Benevolent One, the Purifier, has come at our darkest hour to establish our original kingdom of True Happiness and True Love. His main direction is to Remember Me, for I will purify you.
Remember your True Self, the self governed by Love and Light. Remember the time when our kingdom was in its full glory. Establish the kingdom within first…feel it in your heart and soul now. Be of faith that it is soon to come, as it once was. Have faith that you are a soul and break the bondages of your body. No longer be a slave of the senses. Become Free, through the pure and positive thoughts of your mind. It is possible-it is the only possibility to return Home in Peace.
WIth thoughts of the Father , the boatman, in your mind, He will take your boat across from this side to the other. Wrapped in Her Light and Love, you will be refreshed, restored, and made new once again.
to be pure, positive, and creative even in the face of the negative and most destructive,
for the true essence of my being and yours is PURITY!
It is through this original purity that all conflict within the soul will come to an end!
Purity brings with it peace and with peace, there can be happiness.
Life becomes worth living- fully positive!!!
It is possible.
Fully Positive
Fully positive-what does that look like?
Being true to the self and not being compromised by anything less…
But firstly I must know my Self.
Who am I, the soul? What are my original, innate qualities? Let me discover my original purity, peace, love, divine power, bliss, and joy. For this I must turn my attention inward on a regular basis. To know my true self, I must go within at frequent points during the day, especially when so much of life has had me outwardly focused!
As I come to know my own innate original qualities, I can begin to see others as souls with those same qualities, no matter how they may be acting at the moment!
This does take practice, because seeing the worst in others (and myself) has become an acquired, heavily conditioned cultural habit!!!
So I give myself reminders and signals throughout the day. Originally and eternally I am a pure soul, full of divine virtues and powers. And so is everyone else.
Having an awareness of soul consciousness and keeping the vision of others as souls is a service. This truth will prevail through consistent attention and practice.
As I share the original qualities of the soul through my vibrations and thoughts, I help stabilize myself and others.
Just remembering to think I am a peaceful, loving soul brings these qualities into my awareness and then they can be brought into my actions. This is how to practice soul consciousness. Take a few powerful thoughts into your day and connect with them often in your awareness. From awareness into action...this is the method!
Experiment each day or week with a different attribute/quality or virtue that you wish to accumulate within your being.
One week have your focus on purity~create a mantra or a slogan such as:
I have only pure and positive thoughts and feelings about myself and others!
Think this 10 times, each time you drink a glass of water or a cup of tea.
Stir your pure thoughts about yourself into your food as you prepare it and eat it.
Changes will happen.
As you think, so shall you become!
Everything that exists began with a thought. Soon you will embody what you practice/think about.
Build enthusiasm for your practice! Know that the results you create are not temporary!
They are being embedded into the fabric of you, the soul.
Enthusiasm brings with it God’s help. The root of enthusiasm is “theo” from the Greek. Theo refers to God as in the word: “theology” which is the study of God. To be enthusiastic, is to be with God.
Be gentle with yourself and at the same time nurture your zeal and enthusiasm to regain your true and original, eternal identity! I am a pure and positive soul!
Fully positive, yes, it is my true nature. Let me return to my true nature.
As I was, so I will be again!!!
Become stable in knowing the truth of your own being.
To consider myself to be a soul means to become aware of my Self and of the innermost power of peace.
For this I turn inward and become aware of what is happening inside.
Reaching into my very core, beyond the issues of the body, I become aware of my inner world, a space of silence.
In order to stabilize in this beautiful, rich place, I talk to myself like this.
I am a being of light, sparkling behind the center of the forehead like a shining star.
I center my attention here to know my original nature of peace and purity.
I the soul am pure and peaceful.
Peace and purity are my original nature.
If any other thoughts come into my mind, I choose to let them go , as if nothing happened.
As I give attention to what I wish to experience…I feel peaceful and pure.
I am a being shining from the center of the forehead.
The depth to which I can experience peaceful feelings depends on my purity. To be easily disturbed by situations and people’s comments and behavior is a good sign that I must purify inside. To do so, requires help from the Almighty, the One who is also called “The Ocean of Peace”.
My purity depends upon remembering this One and to merge into His Unlimited Nature of Peace, in order to restore my own reserves of peace and accumulate the power of peace.
For if I am peaceful, I will be happy. For with the vibrations of peace everything moves smoothly. Therefore let me speak inside to the self~with this affirmation.
I, the shining light am connecting to the Supreme Light. I am merging ~light into light to absorb the gift of peace from the Source of Peace.
In order to merge with the Supreme Peace, I must become aware of where that One resides. I must go there in my mind to make a connection and to charge up from the powerhouse of peace.
Enjoy this wonderful journey of remembering your true nature of purity and peace.
You will become happy and help others to be happy as well.
Happiness and Peace are our original birthright.

Laughter lives in your eyes, enabling you to see pathways that lead to happiness.
Is it possible there is one way to free yourself from the world of emotional pain, sorrow, fear, and regret? Sure, you might be thinking, and how much does it cost, and how long will I need to try it, and for how long will it work?
Asking these kinds of questions comes from the present state of the human condition: materially-minded, limited, and trapped in a world with many issues and lots of false, expensive claims.
This state is very familiar to all of us-as a matter of fact, most of humanity is immersed in what I have recognized after much meditation and then in a flash ( inspired by a great teacher) that the world of sorrow is all around, but we have a choice, to live in it or not!
When the wise and loving elder affectionately called Dadi Janki was asked- what do you love the most. She replied: ME!!! As a student and teacher of Raja Yoga Meditation she was the embodiment of radiance and love and contentment. She embodied the satisfaction of a soul stabilized on its own form.
What is the secret behind her ultimate contentment? The secret is this :Souls can only be content when they are stable in their eternal form of light, peace, love, bliss, wisdom, truth, and joy. This is true happiness…it is true because it is eternal. Because the soul is eternal, it is only fulfilled by that which is also eternal. Temporary fixes will not do.
Contentment is the crown jewel of all the other virtues. In other words, contentment is the end result of the study and practice of concentrating on the awareness of being a soul and seeing others as souls. Complete fulfillment is experienced when the soul experiences it’s own self-respect and love and experiences love and respect from the Divine Beloved. This means that I , the soul, can be content even knowing my own present weaknesses. True contentment is when I base my contentment upon what is eternal and on the love I receive in my eternal connection with the One. Step by step we build our own self-respect based upon this stable and eternal foundation.
When a soul doesn’t accept herself, she seeks approval from others (this is like being a beggar-always needing praise and assurance). One’s life is lived through the eyes and opinions of others. This results in a rollercoaster of fluctuation and uneasiness caused by the internal pressure of expectation.
Be gentle and patient with yourself so that you don’t slide back to square one. While aiming for the highest, accept where you are at and notice how far you have come!!! Don’t reject yourself when you Slip Up!!! Don’t put yourself down or overreact to yourself~~~
When I stay rooted in self-respect, I am not subject to the influence of others, or the atmosphere.
Make sure your sense of self, your identity is not based on what you DO. Remember you are an eternal being, vast, infinite, great, loving. To enhance this awareness, start the day with soul consciousness for this will set the tone on the day. Soul Consciousness means the soul becomes conscious of its own inner powers. When my awareness is based in soul consciousness, God can influence me and use me. My positive qualities and powers are also influencing me. I am not subject to the influence of others or the surrounding atmosphere.
There is success where there is determination. Be determined to remain content with yourself and make everyone else content too. Then your original sweetness will shine through and you will be known as a soul who is a Jewel of Contentment.
The late, great Dadi Janki has been and still is a mentor for thousands, if not hundreds of thousands. She created “The Call of the Time” dialogues and retreats to serve the movers and shakers of the world. She has inspired people in the field of world service who also maintained a spiritual dimension to their lives and work. Since the first dialogues began in 1998 in Oxford, UK, Dadi Janki and the cadre of those she became a spiritual resource for, were looking at this basic question: What is the call of this time for you? Now in 2020, this question is even more pertinent, whether you are navigating world issues or the challenges of your own life and assisting others to do the same.
Dadi Janki was deeply touched by the community of souls that had emerged and considered each one to be a spiritual friend. Her love for them evoked a feeling of special care and concern for what they each faced in their field of service. She shared her thoughts and insights on the inner state of being they would need to maintain in order to address the outer conditions in the world. Her consistent message to those spiritual friends was to pay attention to the quality of the thoughts in your mind and create spaces of silence in which to slow down your thoughts and bring the most elevated of them into life.
The following is a short letter written by Dadi that shares a universal message for anyone with the intention of creating a positive influence upon our world.
“In order to serve in the world at this time, we need a mind that is qualified to serve. Our thoughts, words, and actions should be aligned with the values we want to bring into the world to strengthen a foundation that seems to be falling apart. However, when many people turn inward and look for strength and power, the state of their own mind weakens their resolve to serve. What do they see?
Thoughts are like ants. They can create havoc for us, if we are not careful. Ants follow each other like an army. If one comes, then a whole troop follows. And they line themselves up is such a way that it looks like an invasion. In the same way, one wasteful or negative thought has the power to form an army and create a pattern of thinking that can defeat the soul. So observe the spiral of your thoughts. Is it an upward spiral, or a downward spiral?
Take care of the pattern of your thoughts. It takes one second for thoughts to be positive and one second for thoughts to be negative. And it takes one determined thought to transform a negative thought into a positive one.
Serving others is to offer them the gift of your elevated thoughts.“
Once you recognize how it is being created inside of you, you have the creative option to design your escape plan and get in touch with the inner world of happiness. First step is to recognize and remove yourself from the world of sorrow, second step – have a plan that you use to redirect your attention to the rediscovery and revival of the world of happiness within you. You are not alone. Others are also involved in this practice! It is not a process, rather it is a practice-that you will enjoy. You are replacing a very old habit with a new habit. You will have experiences when you practice. Then you will be your own authority!!!
But back to the first step of recognizing how you have been immersed in the world of sorrow, like a fish immersed in an ocean. The fish may not truly appreciate the ocean until it jumps out for a moment. For the fish, the ocean is essential, but for us this ocean of sorrow is non-essential, it is a choice. To jump out takes the courage to recognize it first of all and see how it has become part of me and my patterns of perception!
The world of sorrow is created every day by many minds and many hearts feeling stuck in their past words, reactions, choices, and actions. Locked into a familiar-comfortably uncomfortable- state of consciousness, limited by what is known, by what is seen, heard, tasted, smelled, and felt through the domain of the five senses. Relief from this state of affairs is occasional and temporary-perhaps a good meal with friends, a beautiful sunset, a shared bottle of wine, a good night’s sleep. And then the same old, same old thoughts are back on the screen of your mind, immediately as you awaken each morning. The cravings, the longings, the compulsive behaviors, the should haves, the wish I could have, the when will it happen….the dread, the news, the deadening routine… sound familiar?
To take the first step out of this world requires courage. Not every one will take that first step. But for the willing, with that step, a 1,000 boons become available. A new path of light opens up to the seeker and the pen to write your own destiny is at your fingertips. The world of happiness stands just on the other side, as one awakens from the deep, addictive sleep of the world of sorrow. Besides courage, you must also invoke determination.
Take a deep breath right now and feel inside for these two qualities: COURAGE & DETERMINATION. Go beyond any doubts coming from within or without. Go deeper. Invoke the power of Courage, and the power of determination!!! Take your mind out of the mud of regrets and the fears about repeating them…take the insightful lessons of the past with you, but not the negative feelings associated with the situations. The situations are over…Done. With courage and determination you are armed to create the future. Don’t let the past define your future or define your character, either!
Clear the past and create your future!
It is a new day. How will it be different? What do I do if the old thoughts and feelings creep back in, in a moment? First off, do not be surprised or caught off-guard, be aware, have a plan! Think of this challenge of shifting out of the old world of sorrow and invoking the divine virtue of happiness as a game. While playing a game, there is usually lots of enthusiasm and effort to win. Knowing the rules of the game is essential for success. Breaking a rule will disqualify even the most skilled players. Remember one of the rules of this game is not to waste a lot of time tolerating your old thoughts and feelings…i.e. tolerating and creating sorrow through your own thought patterns. First check to see what happened that triggered the wave of the old…the wave of sorrow. Identify your “Achilles heel”, i.e. the weak points in your being, the tears in the emotional or mental makeup that have been created by traumas and dramas of your past. Catch yourself, before responding in an old, habitual way! If you didn’t respond outwardly, but you felt yourself hit by the familiar arrow (which could be one of your own recurring, destructive, negative, wasteful thoughts or someone else’s) have a backup up thought to replace it. For example, go beyond the human dilemma, by reminding yourself who you really are! I am a peaceful, loving soul. I can choose to have self-respect and focus of what is true and good for the soul.
This is one of the major rules (truths) of this game called Life…. I am more than meets the eye…I am in fact, incognito…I am an eternal point of light, of consciousness…and the essence of my nature is that of peace and love. In fact, the truth is: I am a peaceful soul. My original and eternal nature is love and joy. Are you willing to play? Can you feel that this is true?
It is understandable, that you may need to sit and contemplate about this and find that sacred awareness that leads you into an experience of who you truly are. With this simple practice, you will build a powerful stage of self-respect that insures meeting life with a sense of security and confidence. This is the missing piece of the puzzle…this is the game changer which gives you a chance to master life. This is where to start. This is the practice. If you become aware of this fact many times throughout your day, I AM A PEACEFUL SOUL, for even a moment or two, you will begin to see and know yourself and see others in a new sweet way! For actually, originally every soul’s original religion is that of Peace and Love!
Everyone is a soul, eternal, originally pure, loving, peaceful, and happy. The game is to get back to this original state of consciousness or awareness. The game is to pay attention to this “rule”; the drill is to practice this awareness frequently to refine your skill at becoming a hero or heroine of your own life. As with anything you practice, it requires repetition. The more practice, the better you get. At first, it feels difficult, because it is new. Or you may think it sounds to simple to be effective. The reason this practice works is because it is based in the truth. It is not an expensive mantra that you will need to pay someone a big chunk of money to receive!
This practice is like turning on a light, flipping a switch. The light is within you…you are the light! You are a soul. You are a peaceful soul. Thinking about the real you will bring your eternal consciousness into the present and create a beautiful future, more beautiful than you may be presently able to imagine!
The practice is called Raja Yoga Meditation. In these days – yoga- has become fashionable and expensive in the west. Raja Yoga is the ancient and original form of the yoga of India. It is the yoga of the mind. It is freely shared. It does require determination and discipline. However it is not difficult. It is shared freely because it is priceless. It will connect you with the deepest truth of yourself and also with the truth of the Highest on High.
“Imbibe this very well and share with others. Wherever you came from, you were pure.” At present no one is pure. With that said, what are the most important questions to ask yourself in life?
Why am I doing this…Am I doing this with love…If not, why?
If we ask ourselves these questions, we are able to check our own blind spots. Best to check the self now when there is the great opportunity to change, rather than at the end of your life when you have run out of time!!!
So fall in love with your own efforts to be the highest version of yourself. You can not be alert to transforming without love…or else your movements become mechanical.
Results are important to note; you must not just be treading uphill. However, some results are very subtle.
How to cultivate this landscape of love which is the essence of every soul? How will I know that I am fully worthy of God’s Love? Let me accept this great challenge to accept my own worthiness and to know and feel love from the Supreme, who truly affirms again and again ~ you are my child, I am yours, and You Are Loved.
Keep yourself open to allow God to love you and allow your heart to feel it. Accepting this Divine love, I receive an enormous lift that gives me power to transform. Along with love from God is the importance of self love and respect.
Be in Love with the Self. Remember you are a unique and special soul. Deeply consider yourself to be a soul (not the body). Dive deep into the qualities of the soul and the treasures that lie within, especially your treasures of peace and love.
The more I’m connected with my Self and experience the truth that I am a soul, the less I want, need or take from anyone else, especially in the form of their praise and acknowledgement or their rejection or defamation. For this, I the soul, need a lot of silence to see the game of the ego and to discern what I am not, from what I truly am. It takes a lot of courage to own our own greatness.
Stop processing and start practicing the kind of awareness which leads to self-realization.
See your journey as a wonderful and interesting game. The game of emerging your original and eternal nature of love will take you beyond the unsustainable emotionality that has come from adopting the norms and standards of a world off kilter.
Play the game of love to create win-win scenes. Create a new standard that understands what is temporary, limited, and illusory from that which is real, eternal and unlimited.
Life, itself, will give you a lot of signals. For example~ any form of discomfort means something needs to be put right. Discomfort shows you what is calling out to be transformed (loved) in any moment.
Ask yourself, what methods do I have to keep me aware that I am a soul who is eternally and originally a being of peace and love?
For many of us, affirmations, times of silent meditation, and journaling are the practices which help me catch myself in order to keep me in touch with truth.
There are many creative self-triggers that can be used to keep your awareness high and your vibration loving, happy, and peaceful. For starters, pay attention not to be influenced by negative vibrations and atmospheres of the outer world. For this, some use doors as triggers…any door that you go through can be a signal to stay alert to carry across that threshold a strong sense of who you are as a loving, peaceful soul, immune to the vibrations that are causing others to be immersed in forms of negativity and sorrow. Instead carry your light of awareness with you, as you walk, consciously, through each door.
Remember this is a game of consciousness, stay light, play to win and help others win too. The new world we are creating is full of happy, loving souls who are currently trapped in this old world and often do not even realize it; they, too, can only thrive in the light of love!
Another method for remaining self-aware or soul-conscious, is to check and see what are the EXTRAS I’m carrying around in my head? Extras = baggage that weighs me down and takes me away from the awareness of my loving, peaceful self. Extras = reacting rather than responding, saying too much, thinking too much, being opinionated, being influenced by past experiences, associations, and memories.
Remember when you clear the past, you create the future! Again, think “game”~ this is a game of retraining the mind. Stay loving, be peaceful.
Many of us, try to create an external comfort zone and surround ourselves with only things we can manage easily. This is very limiting and actually a form of laziness. When we try to live out of our own comforts, we are living according to the games that the ego likes to play-our spiritual love is then comprised; we become careless and lose our alignment with truth.
What to do? This is a game of expanding our consciousness of true love and true peace. So we go deeper into our own spirituality, our inner sanctuary of peace. This is called living from the inside out, rather than the outside in. When I’m truly comfortable on the inside, I make peace with everything. Situations become more co-operative and true love and contentment can arise.
For this to become my stable state of consciousness, I must develop great familiarity with my inner world, my inner spirituality, my inner resources of peace and love. For this, I must turn to the Source when my own resources seem to be running low.
The Benevolent One is always available. Many souls have found that through a simple and profound practice of meditation called Raja Yoga or Remembrance, they can fill up with Universal Love and Light and Peace and be a powerful influencer in their own families, workplaces, and communities. As one remembers this Light and follows it constantly, one becomes not only a transformer of the self, but a transformer of the world.
This is a practice freely shared with all. It is truly user-friendly. To learn more, checkout:
The Divine Gardner says, ‘become a fragrant flower‘. There are many kinds of flowers- there is the rose, then there is also the flower that has no beauty or smell that grows in the wild.
A garden is small, He says, a jungle is large. The garden is carefully tended to by the gardener. It has beautiful flowers that spread their fragrance everywhere, they bring happiness to those who see them. A garden is free from thorns because thorns bring sorrow, flowers bring happiness.
Am I a fragrant flower?
Fragrance comes from purity – in thought, word, action and intent. Where there is purity, there is happiness, contentment, peace. Why? Because I am successful. People think success is dependent on others liking me or what I do. Actually, the Divine Friend says, success is based on intent. If your intention is pure, you are already successful. Then, the fragrance of those qualities spreads far and wide without me having to do anything. It is indeed like a flower in the garden that radiates beauty and fragrance automatically..it is not an effort, it is part of its nature.
As I become purer, my happiness and contentment increase. Purity comes from remembering who I am and Whom I belong to, in other words, it comes from remembrance. When I forget who I am and fall into the trap of body consciousness, I become contaminated with all kinds of traits – comparison with others, jealousy, hustling, one-upmanship, desire to win and be right all the time, etc. When I am consumed by these emotions, I live my life in fear rather than in peace and contentment. My mind becomes toxic and toxins don’t release a fragrance as much as they release a stink.
Don’t be a thorn, says our Divine Friend.
A bad smell brings unhappiness and discomfort to people around- they hold their noses and try to get away as far and as quickly as possible. On the other hand, when I am content, when I am happy and peaceful, it lightens the mood for everyone. Even if a person might be feeling low, when a good natured, contented person walks in, they make everyone else feel better.
The good news, the Divine Friend says, is that you are a fragrant flower, fragrance is part of your nature…you just forgot who you are.
It is not something I have to learn, it is not a muscle I have to grow…it is who I am innately. All I have to do is remember…not just in the morning but throughout the day as I am walking, talking, moving around. I, am a peaceful soul. I, am a loveful soul. I, am a child of God. Then, along with remembering, let me follow that up with being in that awareness. What does peace feel like, look like? What does being loveful mean? Let me touch base with my own truth, let me step into my reality rather than simply contemplate it.
This is who I am, a fragrant flower. Now let me remain in that awareness.
