What will it take for Humanity to come into alignment with Nature? What will it take for me to be self-reliant, nimble, innovative, grounded and authentic? 

Life is going to be posing these questions.  This is exciting at the personal level, because we each get to choose. We are going to see the future arrive in many, many ways, giving us the harvest of decades (and eons?) of choices.

This will look like the challenges of breakdown and the opportunities of breakthrough.

Watch May 14-15-16, as Mercury enters Taurus, connecting with Chiron in Aries, followed by the New Moon in Taurus and Uranus in Taurus — a lot going on in just a few days!

As if that were not enough, this cascade culminates with Mars in Aquarius (Uranus’ sign) forming a perfect 90-degree angle with Uranus. Bumpy events are likely.

This is an important time to be intentional, grounded, and clear about what we value.

This article is going to be predominantly about the shift of Uranus into Taurus.  When outer planets change signs, it is a big event, astrologically.

The last time Uranus was in Taurus was before and during the Great Depression and WWII. More recently, Uranus has been in Aries since March of 2011 (when the earthquake and tsunami brought us the Fukushima destruction – a VERY Uranian sort of event). The past years, with Uranus in Aries since May 2010, have been about assuming responsibility in a self-reliant way, learning how to be true to self and empowered.

Uranus will be in Taurus until 2026. As with the previous cycle in the 1930s, expect tremendous change. While the Great Depression and WWII were challenging events, this period was also a time of major innovation. These are just some of the inventions that surfaced then: radio telescope, electron microscope, magnetic recording, ballpoint pen, scotch tape, frozen food, analog computer and jet engine.

Uranus keywords: disruption, the avant garde, innovation, electricity, maverick behavior, seismic events, aviation, weird and quirky, the internet, genetic mutation, shocks, technology, eccentricity, freedom, astrology, fringes, chaos and rebellion, and — most importantly — the Higher Mind.

Taurus keywords: values, stewardship, persevering, tradition, down-to-earth, stable, stubborn, possessive, prepared, prosperous, dependable, physical, sensual — Back to the Garden and the Garden of Earthly Delights.

For those who are highly intentional and willing to do the inner work, this period is an opportunity for Higher Mind to be embodied through enlightened choices.

How long can one ignore signs before consequences occur? We’re going to be seeing just what this means in humanity’s relationship with Earth over the coming years.

• Currently the Hawaiian Islands are enduring a destructive volcanic eruption on Hawaii Island on the heels of a devastating flooding event on Kauai
• Temperatures across North America (and elsewhere) are shifting back and forth with 40- and 50-degree temperature shifts between days not uncommon

Sink holes are opening up in Italy, Korea, Brasil, Russia, New Zealand, and in several US states (Texas, Florida, Oregon, Hawaii).                                                                                                                                Yet, with all these indicators, humans continue to fill the atmosphere, the soil, and our waters with various pollutants.

We continue to rely on Big Ag: mono-crops, GMOs and pesticides. This all adds up to what the Hopi people call “Koyanniskatsi,” life in chaos, a way of living calling for a new way of living.

The bill for all these choices is coming due.
Comfort Zone Disruption – Where is my security/stability? Are my values sustainable?
Psychologically, the disruption of our comfort zones can be the greatest challenge we think we face. The soul loves adventure and the personality craves security. Whatever seems stable in our lives is likely to reveal its weaknesses. This is true in everything from our internal state to relationships, communities, organizations, nations, etc. This pattern of disruption will scale from the micro to the macro.

It is in our willingness to welcome change, to flex, to shift, to dance that we will find a new sense of capability from the inside out. Light and shadow emerge chaotically. Secrets, lies and denials are brought to the surface (shockingly?). We can feel disoriented through sudden shifts of perspective. Our values are challenged. We wonder what is stable and secure.

If we look outside ourselves, we miss the opportunity to learn the liberating feeling of self-reliance. We are invited to a Dance of Risk and Freedom, a dance that requires us to innovate while keeping a solid foundation. Taurus is about being prepared. Uranus is about the unexpected. Good idea to get your pantry full and your grab-and-go bag up to date.
Food & Farming Revolution

We are likely to see big changes in the way humans relate to nutrition. Some will continue to move with the corporate game of items labelled as “food” that are actually harmful. The wise will learn to garden for themselves and make locally grown, organic food a priority, supporting farmer’s markets.

I’m hoping we will see a mounting interest in eating local, wholesome foods grown from full-spectrum DNA, open-pollinated (i.e. heirloom) seed.
 Banking, Economic & Currency Changes

…We are in the dawn of a global financial revolution, with “the people” inventing ways to participate in the wealth that have been held historically by the few… Market volatility — always a concern — will increase. Fortunes rise and fortunes crash, as nimble entrepreneurs seize opportunities the old bulls don’t recognize… Multi-level marketing, affiliate programs and innovative entrepreneurial business will provide many with financial freedom, beyond the corporate clock and restraints. Green and Earth-positive businesses will proliferate.
 Cryptos Collide with Precious Metals as Hedges
…Crypto, DLT and block-chain are evolving to be a MAJOR disrupter in the financial space. Right now, the crypto Market Cap is about $400B. This is just a bit more than Apple Computer has in cash reserves… In other words, the crypto space is not even on the map of the world’s economy yet. The world’s 60 major stock exchanges have a combined Market Cap of $69 Trillion. Goldman Sachs estimates Market Cap of the Global Economy at just under $100 Trillion.

When even a small percentage of this wealth moves into the crypto space, life-changing wealth is going to be created for the ones who risk their funds into this new sector. Uranus rules electricity and the internet. Taurus rules money, finance and valuables. We are seeing the currency of money meet the currents of electricity required to mine cryptocurrencies.

Hard to predict…but, this is certain: the economy will be transformed in many ways, and there will be friction between the Old Guard and the new, freedom-seeking innovators.
Public Life

… Unforeseen building materials will emerge and new housing ideas will evolve. Think 3D printing of houses. Think 3D printing of many, many things. The US power grid is vulnerable to hacking and the infrastructure is outdated. If the grid goes down, we will find out what’s immediately important.

Being prepared is a Taurus motto…
Artificial Intelligence Collides with Soul Awareness

There is an idea, circulating among a group of scientists and policy planners, “Technological Singularity.” This is the idea that a self-replicating (recursive) dynamic will develop in the area of AI, a process that will accelerate and overtake the human experience as we know it, with machine intelligence transcending and/or blending with human consciousness.  Theirs is a vision of a world called “trans-humanism,” a vision… sadly disconnected… from the magnificent nature of Human Innate Intelligence that emanates from the human soul.

We will see technological solutions offered to provide “security,” “safety,” and “well-being.” The idea will be that humans can no longer rely on themselves for wisdom and must turn to machine intelligence to make “good choices.”

Ones who have cultivated Innate Intelligence by clearing the pineal, healing the brain, eating and drinking as clean and fresh as possible, and otherwise caring for self well, will continue to exercise autonomy as they watch many give over their choice-making power to AI technologies, such as Alexa and Siri and Sophia.

The screens that so many are addicted to will continue to program ones, even to the point of some voluntarily opting to scan themselves and have  unknown corporate-owned, profit-driven computer programs in cyberspace diagnose and prescribe more “designer-pharma” for them.
Values-Aligned Groups Prosper and/or Take on the Power Elite
What do I value and why? Whom do I value and why? Do I have values-aligned relations? Any rifts in values will become more and more evident and unsustainable.

We will see successful class-action lawsuits brought by groups seeking redress from “deep pockets” like corporations or professional associations, possibly financed through crowd-funding or crypto Initial Coin Offerings.

(Few realize that DLT is becoming the new method of raising funds and will likely come to outstrip “traditional methods.”)…
COUNSEL: Dance daily, if not hourly. 🙂 Keep moving. Be empowered and enthusiastic about making change and/or adjusting to change.

Allow any shock you encounter to move through your system as you stay centered and calm, directing your attention to the focal point of the breakthrough as it appears in your reality.

Send your peaceful and heartfelt intentions into that Focal Point. The great human power is Intention (and Thought), and it must be directed consciously and positively to bring happy results.

As the famous Arabian horse trainer, Tom McNair, told me, when I once asked his training philosophy, “We’re going to do this as easy as we can and as hard as we have to.”
