To Drink from the Well of Peace

In the practice of Raja Yoga Meditation, one method to connect with your inner peace is through the thought ‘Om Shanti’.  These 2 words point to the awareness of our eternal state of peace and our true spiritual identity.  By thinking or saying Om Shanti you are claiming your natural state of peace to emerge.

In Sanskrit, Shanti means ‘peace’ and Om means ‘I am the soul’.   Together they affirm that I am a peaceful soul.

As you accept Om Shanti as a reality and focus upon it, your power of peace and serenity manifests as a powerful vibration bringing your true nature of peace to the surface of your life and you become a wonderful force of peace in the world around you.

It takes just a few seconds of concentration to connect with the soul-self and the current of peace and tranquility.  Practice for 10 to 20 seconds, as many times throughout the day as you wish, to establish and sustain the awareness of the peace which abides within you, the soul.  Your Om Shanti current will never fail to energize your peacefulness.  However, it must be practiced with complete attention.

What follows is a wonderful testimony from a young woman in her twenties, a first time participant in one of our Raja Yoga Meditation sessions.  “My first encounter with Raja Yoga Meditation at a Solstice Gathering on Kauai was simply wonderful.  It filled me with a sweet sense of light that uplifted and acknowledged my soul.  One of the most profound experiences of the evening was realizing how powerful it is to recognize and deeply connect to soul-consciousness.

The soul is our source of our existence.  I am deeply thankful for everyone who drinks from this well of light.”

AN INVITATION~

Beloved Souls~Lovers of the One~

This is your invitation to join with a small group of like-hearted and light-hearted souls, in the world’s oldest sacred ceremony, a ceremony that was the first to be celebrated from time immemorial and is still being celebrated til this day.  It is called Rakshabandhan which refers to tying a Bond of Love and Protection with the Highest on High…the Renewal of your personal promise to that One.

This is a ceremony which has its origins in Mother India.  It is an opportunity that comes around once a year, as special holidays do, to renew our most sacred relationship.  It is a time of reflection, resolve, and renewal of our deepest vows, promises, and commitment to ourself and to God.

This ceremony represents the sacred movement of the Soul on it’s Journey back to its original pristine state, back to the purity with which this whole play began.  Who were you before your many spins around the sun?  It is a ceremony of renewal of the spirit, of courage, and of love.

For it is this deepest divine love, as well as courage which propels us forward, step by thoughtful step.  On Kauai, we are holding this ancient and unique ceremony on Sunday, August 30, from 6pm to 7:30pm.

Please do let us know that you would like to attend by calling me, Shivalaya at 639-9436 for directions and parking info.

You are Blessed and can add to Your Blessings by sharing with us in this sacred act of expressing our deepest resolve to the One who wishes us ALL THE BEST AND MORE!!!
