The Personal Side of Science

wrapped in silence

The following piece  was written by an Indian writer and mystic named Jagdish Chandra.  He was a practitioner of Raja Yoga Meditation, a true yogi who valued the power of silence,  and an ardent lover of the Supreme from whom he imbibed tremendous jewels of knowledge.

In this excerpt, he challenges us to look into the personal writings of some of the great scientists of the world to see how successful they felt on the inside. The article begins by looking at the impact that Darwin’s theory of the ‘survival of the fittest’ had upon society and upon Darwin, himself.

“If one believes the principle of ‘the survival of the fittest’, then life becomes very depressing.  Darwin himself experienced this.  Although many are familiar with his theory of evolution, how many have read his personal letters which he wrote to his friends and colleagues?

Read those and you will find how unhappy his life was!  You would come to know the extent to which his life was full of sorrow.  At the end of his life, as he lay sick and dying, having realized that he was not going to survive anymore, he wrote about how a funeral was going on outside his window.  He could hear women’s’ voices singing songs in God’s remembrances, with lots of intoxication.  He felt their happiness and came to realize that his own life was a sorrowful one.  He thought: ‘I am dying at this moment, my body is going to be left, and what have I attained?’  He was overwhelmed by feelings of sadness and peacelessness which he could not understand.  He felt he had no answers and had attained nothing in life~

Many others have revealed similar experiences.  Read the autobiography of Albert Einstein, and see what he said at the end of it!  Read the books of famous scientists. Their principles are taught in our colleges, but what of their life-styles and the inner state of their minds~these things are not widely known.

Many scientists struggle with their minds and the question of what they have attained in life plagues them.  Their principles of ‘only the worthy can survive’, ‘struggle for survival is necessary’, ‘a violent nature is a natural instinct of humanity’, caused so much loss in their lives.

If these principles are lived by and considered true, then war would exist as a natural and obvious aspect of life.  So why talk about peace?  Close the United Nations!  On the basis of such principles, one nation is bound to attack another nation because to attack violently and to fight is the natural nature of humanity.  They say that our ancestors are monkeys and that is why human beings act just like monkeys.  If this is the case why expect good behavior from human beings at all?…

Due to these wrong ideas turbulence has broken out throughout the entire world. Fighting and quarreling have increased.  Of course, before these ideas, humans also used to fight and quarrel due to not knowing the Self.

However, when you explore history, especially after the introduction of the principles of Charles Darwin, Sigmund Freud, and Karl Marx, you will find that the bloodshed which has occurred in the world has become immeasurable.  By considering themselves to be naturally violent by nature, humans have killed other fellow beings and fighting has happened to an extent unprecedented in earlier times.  Earlier, at least some manners used to exist within humanity.  But since these ideas have taken root, such manners have finished and immense violence has entered human life.”

Brother Jadgish dedicated this divine gift of writing towards the establishment of a new world.

What Makes You Afraid?

If everything were taken away, renounced, or otherwise finished, what would still remain?

ENLIGHTENED ANSWERS

Take the time to meditate on the heart of who you are.  When everything is stripped away, you the Soul remain.  What is the nature of You, the Soul?  Once the true nature of the self is known, then right action will follow like day follows  night.

Today, many are waking up.  My wish for all of us is  to: “Have faith that you are a soul” and to experience yourself as peace and purity.  “Have faith that you are a soul” and body consciousness will finish.  When you or another soul acts without this awareness, look for the mercy within your heart, for this movement comes from ignorance, pain, and often fear.  Within each soul is true love and true law.  Go deep, connect with the One, and know the treasure that is freely given, when the soul turns toward the Light.

“Think about it: What makes you afraid?

What is Meant by Spiritual Power?

These words come from a very beloved soul, former leader of the Brahma Kumaris who is affetionately and respectfully called Dadi Prakashmani.

When asked “What is meant by spiritual power?” She replied: Spiritual power means:

the Power of Peace,

the Power of Love,

the Power of Wisdom,

the Power of Bliss,

the Power of Judgement,

the Power to Accomodate,

the Power to Tolerate, and

the Power to be able to Face any situation.

The Supreme Being is the Almighty Authority, full of all these powers.  Through our connection with this One, we are able to receive these powers as a gift, as a blessing.  My experience has been that with these powers from the Supreme, things whichappear to be problems are blessings in disguise just as while the ocean has waves on the surface, deep within the ocean there is stillness, there is silence.

Exercises in Soul Awareness~Practice Daily for Peace

1.  I am a soul, a sparkling point of light, like a star, sitting in the center of my forehead. Go into the experience of being seperate from the body.  Concentrate on being a subtle point of light and feel the rays of light and might spread out from the soul into the physical world.  Do this for 5 minutes, 5 times a day.  Also do this right before sleeping.  You will sleep more comfortably in your true form.

Golden words of the Father:

“May you constantly have a pure and positive attiutde attitude for yourself and for others and bring the time of revelation close.  The basis of success in service is your pure and positive attitude because it is your attitude that will increase souls’ power to imbibe and desire to know….A soul who constantly has pure and positive thoughts for the self is always ‘Maya-proof’ (i.e. proof against the 5 vices of present humans= anger, greed, lust ego, attachment) and is also proof( safe) from taking on the weaknesses of others…”  We are all souls, incorporeal beings of light, having an incarnation in a body, our last lifetime, at the end of the cycle.  Make the most of it to develop the type of soul you wish to become at the beginning of the cycle which is just around the bend!  Time is of the essence…

Enthusiasm is what it takes to get out of bed.  This is the message I awoke with…Saw a reddish pillar in the sky which was a rainbow…one side of it.  Beautiful, popping through the misted sky and mountain.  Enthusiasm is also what it takes to assist someone with Divine Light~!

In last night’s dream I was going on a journey, alone.  I woke up with the word: Enthusiasm-that’s what it takes to accomplish whatever it is you wish to accomplish.

Impermanence is the nature of life to assist us in not being so attached to whatever it is.  It also teaches us to build our treasure in heaven not in this world…That is why helping others is so valuable, a worthy use of your time and energy.

Moments of inspiration about the essence of life come in from many places…synthesized…planting the seeds of…

Points on the Landscape of the Soul

Revision is so essential…it brings in clarity and updates and moves the writer along on this journey charted by words.

ENLIGHTENED ANSWERS

There is history here, an inner history that helps the soul to mark the changes made over time.  As I, the soul, review this journal, I note that, physically I have shifted from Big Island { the youngest and most volcanic island} to Kauai, the oldest, and for a lot of us, the most serene and beautiful!  Intriqued, I read with an awareness to find other more subtle shifts in consciousness, spirituality, and awareness.

This JOURNAL was started on January 24, 1999 in Waimea on the Big Island of Hawaii and has been holding these thoughts securely in its midnight blue covered notebook called the” PASSAGES JOURNAL”, for over 15 years.  This journal  was designed with beautiful quotes from well known writers written throughout, as pertinent reference points on the landscape of thought.

Rediscovering old journals is like finding hidden treasure.  As I opened this one,  the first thing I…

On Days That I Don’t Write, I Read for Inspiration and Direction~Here’s to YOU!!!

This is a piece that will most definitely be added to my book on the soul.  It is clear, direct, and can be used at any moment for putting our AWARENESS on our spiritual form.  From the soul of Dadi Janki to your soul.  This piece is entitled “Original Peace”. Where is this original peace, where might we go to find it?  Dadi guides you as follows:

It is not necessary to search for peace.

It is within.

Your original state is one of peace.

External situations will pull you away from your peace.

If, that is, you let them.  Internal feeling can also pull you away.

Tiredness, for example, leads to irritability.

Learn to be in charge of yourself and maintain your peace:

center your awareness on your spiritual form –

a tiny star-like point of ight,

seated in the middle of your forehead.

Really experience the difference between You the Sparkling Star,

and your body, the physical vehicle.

Learn to detach yourself from the vehicle.

Een a few moments of this practice, if done regularly,

will return you to your natural state of peace.

Tiredness will vanish.  Irritability, too.

And your actions will be filled with love – for the self and others.

Fill and Be Filled

It was a beautiful day in June 2015.  However, I awoke feeling way less than chipper, sore throat, beyond words!  I decided to nurture the body, but even more so the soul residing within the chariot, by not leaving the house until 2ish, and then it was straight to the local watering hole for a cup of joe!

“Still waking up?”I said inwardly to the body!

I, the soul was ready for action, and so with a quick, sincere invoking of the One, I launched forward with a wonderful deck of blessing cards, I carry with me.

It was time to bless someone with a virtue card and acknowledge who they truly are.

I felt very introverted, but after having invoked the Benevolent One, I knew all would happen in a wonderful way, with me as the willing instrument!  As I walked up to the register to pay, I saw a very sweet soul behind the counter, a mother of 3 girls, who I had often seen here, smiling and glowing, any time of day. I knew that her twin girls had just graduated from high school last weekend.

I paid for the coffee, noticed there was no line, pulled out the beautiful deck of cards and invited her to choose one.

She was surprised and said,” you mean anyone that calls to me?”

“Yes”, I said relieved and excited.”  “That’s it, exactly”…knowing all was playing out, precisely as it would!

Without a moment’s hesitation, she pulled a card from the pack!  She read it silently as I watched  her well up with emotion, that finally broke through the dam of “no longer can I hold back these tears”!

Wow I thought, wondering which card she had picked that had touched the soul, so deeply.

She came out from behind the counter and deeply embraced me, with a feeling that only a mother can give.  This beautiful, bright, and talented soul, devoted mother of 3, working a cash register at the fancy health food store, had pulled GENEROSITY…

These are the words that spoke to her:

Your unlimited kindness that never stops giving reveals your generosity.  Your heart is merciful because God has filled it with love.

She asked if she could keep the card…  of course you can-it’s yours!!!

Later while walking the beach and reflecting, what came in loud and clear was that acknowledgement of the soul is vital to our health and well-being.  How a small moment of reflection about the true self and its elevated nature is considerably rare and that our souls have become parched for lack of true recognition!  Those exquisite moments of ‘seeing her Self’ and ‘being seen’ made her day and mine.

Lesson…See those around you, as the souls that they are.  Fill them with their own truth and value.  Let no one  leave your presence empty-hearted!

Make it one of your favorite habits.

Fill and be filled.

Thoughts Like a Lighthouse …

Tonight, I realized it would be good to post something new since nothing new has emerged in quite a few days~It has been said by the Highest on High that “the thoughts of a pure and charitable soul are like a lighthouse that can show the true destination to souls who are wandering around.”

So tonight I ask both of us, you and me, how elevated is your power of thought?

What I wrote down today was a simple thought…without awareness there is no power, only with awareness or knowledge of who I am can I manifest my true attributes.  Who Am I? I am  pure, bodiless, faceless, egoless, viceless in the Company of the Truth. I am a Master Almighty Authority.  I belong to the realm of unlimited power.  I am a being of flight, of movement, of joy and happiness, of truth and power.  I am self-sovereign.  I am a goddess in the making.  I have been all of this and more and I will be all of this once again. {Hum so, so hum= Hindi for what I was before, I will be again}
